The woodworking industry is changing fast. Technologies that weren’t a priority three years ago are already in use today. Meanwhile, costs keep rising and skilled workers are harder and harder to find.
Santiago Riera is president of the International Trade Fair for Machinery and Technology for Furniture, Woodworking and Interior Design. For him, visiting FIMMA 2026 is no longer optional, it’s a necessity because it’s the most direct way to see which solutions you can already put to work in your own production.
We’ll be there. From November 10 to 13, come see us at Feria Valencia, booth A11. We’ll be running live demos of our CAD/CAM software for woodworking, from design all the way to the CNC machine program.
In this article, we’ll explain to you what you’ll find at our booth and how to get a free ticket to FIMMA + Maderalia, one of the biggest events in the wood and furniture industry.
What Is FIMMA + Maderalia 2026 and Why Does It Matter for Woodworkers?
FIMMA + Maderalia 2026 is an international trade fair held every two years in Valencia, Spain. It covers CNC machinery, materials, and components for furniture, woodworking, and interior design. This is its 41st edition, and the organizers expect around 450 exhibitors across 72,000 gross square meters (roughly 775,000 sq ft) of exhibition space.
In 2024, the event welcomed 30,190 visitors from 63 countries, with international visitors making up 17.5% of attendance. It also hosted 121 conferences and workshops.
The 2026 edition aims to:
- broaden its range of exhibitors and products;
- grow internationally, with a hosted buyer program three times larger than before;
- attract qualified professional visitors, including more designers and specifiers;
- promote the use of wood in construction.
For you, this means meeting machine builders, material suppliers, and software developers all in one place. You can grow your network and compare notes with international companies on real production challenges.
Themed Areas You Shouldn’t Miss at FIMMA 2026
Beyond the booths, the 2026 edition has dedicated spaces for topics that matter directly to woodworking professionals.
The themed areas include:
- Industrial Robotics for Home Construction, with live demos of a 6-axis robotic cell in action;
- Mucho + que carpintería, with hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and live podcast recordings;
- the Industrialized Construction Show and the Architecture & Construction Forum, with conferences from November 10 to 12;
- The Door Show and the Innovation Catwalk (Pasarela de la Innovación), showing the latest doors, materials, and processes selected by the AIDIMME technology institute;
- ASEMAD’s Plaza activa de la Carpintería, a space to discuss the future of woodworking;
- Ágora de Interiorismo y Contract, a new space for conferences and panel discussions on wood and interior design (November 11–12).
What Will You Find at the DDX Booth at FIMMA 2026?
The DDX story began exactly 25 years ago, in 2001. Since then we’ve grown into a company with about 100 employees, more than 10,000 customers in Italy and around the world, and subsidiaries in Germany, Spain, and France.
At booth A11, you won’t see static screenshots. You’ll see live demos, from the first stages of a project all the way to the machine program. You can talk with our experts and ask them how DDX CAD/CAM software can work with your production setup.
From Design to CNC Machining with XDesignPRO and EasyWOOD
“As the woodworking industry goes through major technological change, our goal stays the same: helping companies grow with our CAD/CAM software,” says Dario Finazzi, Sales Director and co-founder of DDX Software Solutions. “Every solution we develop starts from a real technical problem a customer brought to us, and from their need to customize”.
The heart of our booth is the custom furniture workflow. That’s the handoff between the engineering office and the shop floor, and it’s where things most often get stuck.
- In XDesignPRO, you design parametric furniture. You can open your hardware library, view sections and renderings of your project, and import drawings in DWG, DXF, SKP, or STL format.
- Once the design is done, you move on to EasyWOOD. The software recognizes features in 3D models and applies the machining operations for you with automatic CAM.
- EasyWOOD calculates toolpaths for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis interpolated machining centers. It also selects the tools and places the vacuum pods on the worktable.
- PowerSIM lets you simulate the program in 3D and check for collisions before the job goes to the machine.
- With the Nesting module, you lay out parts on panels to cut down on material waste.

Stairs, Windows, Doors, and Production Control
For more specialized production, we’ll also bring:
- PowerSTAIRS for designing standard and custom stairs;
- PowerWIN for manufacturing windows, French doors, entry doors, and wood-aluminum window systems;
- PowerDOOR for designing hollow-core interior doors, solid wood doors, and entry doors from a library of parametric models.
Finally, we’ll show you how XFactory, our MES solution, manages the production flow for both small shops and larger companies.
